Kwara First Lady donates PPE to hospitals, food items to homes, stipends to groups

The First Lady of Kwara State, Dr. (Mrs.) Olufolake AbdulRazaq today donated personal protective consumables for health personnel in the state.

The protective consumables include santizers, face mask, toilet soaps and hand gloves.

Speaking during the presentation the Director of Protocol Office of the first lady
Mr. Hassan Raphael, explained that the First Lady is passionate about the total well-being of all Kwarans.

He stated that the First Lady understands the need for health workers to be well protected in this time of the outbreak of coronavirus and is therefore donating her widow’s mite to the cause.

Case management team lauded the First Lady for the gesture pointing out that the materials will go a long way in assisting health workers in the cause of their work.

Also, at the General Hospital, Ilorin, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Abdulfatah Olokoba, commended the gesture of the First Lady in the fight against the novel coronavirus.

He however called for more assistance from the First Lady pointing out that, “these are materials we use daily. While appreciating the First Lady for this thoughtful gesture we appeal to her to still consider us in subsequent distribution,” he said.

Other General Hospitals that benefitted include; Offa General Hospital, Omu-Aran General Hospital, Kaiama General Hospital and Patigi General Hospital. The Kwara State T B control Committee also benefitted from the protective consumables distribution made by the first lady.

Similarly, the First Lady of Kwara state, Dr. Mrs. Olufolake AbdulRazaq also donated food items to Olohunda Psychiatric Home and the Kwara state Children Reception Centre, Pipeline area.
