We’re committed to economic expansion, growth of Oyo – Makinde

The Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde said on Monday that his administration remains committed to the economic expansion of the state.

The governor, who spoke during the inauguration of a multi-million Naira ultra-modern commercial centre constructed by Gastab, in Ibadan, added that his administration will continue to create a conducive and enabling environment for lawful businesses to thrive in the state.

A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Makinde, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, indicated that the governor also stated that his administration will do its best to ensure that the economy of Oyo State is expanded.

He noted that the economic policies and programmes of his administration have started attracting business investors into the state.

The Managing Director of Gastab company, Alhaji Saheed Adigun, commended the Governor Makinde administration for creating the enabling environment for businesses, adding that he would keep supporting the administration to reduce unemployment.

According to Adigun, Gastab has seven filling stations in Ibadan and 275 workers in the state, saying he is committed to the creation of employment opportunities for residents of the state.
