Kwara PDP: One Indivisible Unit, calls for calm to curtail the scourge of the pandemic in the state

The Kwara state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Part, PDP, today held an emergency meeting of State Working Committee members and some select stakeholders who are members of the Party’s various strategic committees.

The meeting which was held in accordance with the social distancing policy of not more than twenty to twenty five (20-25) persons had very fruitful deliberations across board and resolved on the following resolutions at the end of the strategic meeting:

1. That the party remains a United and indivisible unit under the Leadership of His Excellency Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, and the competent stewardship of the State Chairman, Hon. (Engr.) Kola Shittu.

2. That the internal mechanism of the party is strong enough to resolve any issues arising from divergent views amongst the party structures, stakeholders and members.

3. The party appeals to Kwarans to follow all the precautions and procedure that will help Kwarans to avoid the scourge and deadly Covid19 pandamic that has found it’s way to our dear State.

4. The party is proud and appreciates its numerous members who have taken it upon themselves to show love and support to fellow kwarans with different palliative measures at this critical point, irrespective of the unimpressive and unprepared response rate of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq APC led adminstration.

The party further advises the present government in the state so ensure contact tracing across the state to ensure that those that have contacts with the two index cases, are properly isolated, treated and not subjected to stigmatization or discrimination at any point.

5. The party in line with the constitution stipulated that all public communication from the party must come from the State Chairman of the party or the Publicity Secretary with proper consultation with all the necessary organs and structure as stipulated.

Once again, the PDP Kwara state chapter urges the state government to show more proactiveness in combating this deadly pandemic. It’s important that all hands must be on deck irrespective of political differences or ideology to fight this common enemy endangering the human existence globally.
