Rep. Abiola Peter Makinde, Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ondo East and West Federal Constituency has equipped hundreds of Ondo students with textbooks, writing materials, and instructional tablets.

An event held at Royal Event Centre in Ondo attracted APC party leaders and top government functionaries from within and outside the state, education specialists, teachers, and hundreds of students across Ondo East and West.

The first phase held on the 13th of November — in conjunction with the Centre For Management Development — oversaw the distribution of notebooks, textbooks, laptop computers, desks amongst others.

While the second phase held on the 15th of November — in conjunction with the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration, NIEPA — ensured that hundreds of students across Ondo East and West got notebooks, textbooks, laptops, projectors, desks, and other instructional materials that can make education seamless for Ondo students.

Speaking at both events, in summary, Rep. Abiola Makinde noted with great enthusiasm how educating the younger generation is of paramount importance. In his words, “No investment is ever too much to place on education as it brings the greatest profit.”

“We owe it to the younger generations to ensure that the quality of education and also its accessibility is guaranteed to every citizen because as we achieve that, we are not only securing their futures, we are also safeguarding the future of our state and our nation Nigeria by extension.”

“I hereby encourage every well-meaning citizen to rise to the challenge and ensure that we invest no matter how little into educating the brain and minds of our younger ones. May God help us achieve that.”

Rep. Makinde also noted that the WEALTH mantra has come to stay and he is seizing the opportunity to encourage his constituents to remain steadfast in the programs he has lined up, hoping to execute enough to impact everyone positively.

He thanks them for their unflinching support since he became a member of the House of Representatives.
