President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria and the world, urging citizens to embrace the spirit of hope, unity, and sacrifice that defines the season.
In his Easter message released by the State House, the President described Easter as a sacred time for reflection on the enduring values of love, redemption, and the triumph of hope over despair, as symbolised by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“As President of our great nation, I draw strength and inspiration from this timeless message of hope and renewal,” Tinubu said. “I remain unwavering in my commitment to delivering the promise of a Renewed Hope—a better, more just, and more prosperous Nigeria for all.”
Addressing the nation’s security concerns, President Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over recent tragic incidents and the loss of lives in parts of the country. He reassured Nigerians of his administration’s strong resolve to restore peace and stability.
“I have issued firm directives to the Armed Forces and all relevant security agencies to decisively and swiftly end the menace of insecurity,” he said. “With the bravery and dedication of our gallant men and women in uniform, we are steadily reclaiming peace.”
On the economy, the President acknowledged the challenges faced by many Nigerians but highlighted signs of recovery and renewed investor confidence. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to building an inclusive economy that benefits all citizens.
The President also joined the global Christian community in expressing gratitude for the recovery of Pope Francis, praying that his renewed strength continues to inspire his leadership.
“As Christ triumphed over death, so too shall our country triumph over every challenge we face,” he declared, encouraging Nigerians to remain hopeful and united in the face of adversity.
President Tinubu concluded his message by calling for faith, resilience, and collective action as the nation works towards lasting peace, progress, and prosperity.
“May the risen Christ bless our homes with peace and our nation with continued unity and prosperity,” he said.
