The Omu-Aran Development Association (ODA-UK) is set to host a cultural and heritage awareness event for Omu-Aran indigenes living in the United Kingdom.

The President of United Kingdom branch of the Omu-Aran Development Association (ODA-UK), Engr Adeola Momolosho has announced this in a statement.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd, will take place at Cromwell Manor Hall in Pitsea, Basildon, from 12 noon to 6 pm.

“Yes, This is my first initiative to bring everyone together for an event as the UK President.

“We have people travelling from all over the UK for this event and we have been planning this for almost 6 months now.

“Many of our children here are not aware of our cultural heritage, our traditions, so we want to start bringing it to them.

“We will not allow our heritage and traditions die because we don’t live in Nigeria, we will continue to do our best to instil in our people the Igbomina way” Engr Momolosho said.

Engr Momolosho posited that the body intend to make the event an annual one.

He added that by the time he hands-over to the next generation, it would have become popular where they can invite dignitaries from Omu-Aran to attend and eventually contribute meaningfully to Omu-Aran development at large.
