The FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, at a recent meeting with the Methodist Prelate, Most Rev. Oliver Aba, expressed confidence in Nigeria’s ability to overcome ongoing challenges. Wike, during the Abuja visit, stated, “I believe, by the special grace of God, Nigeria would come out of the turmoil that we are in.”

Wike emphasized the importance of divine intervention, highlighting that “The signs are clear; we have no regret; and we have no doubt that victory shall be ours.”

Acknowledging the role of faith in governance, the minister thanked the Methodist Church for their prayers, especially for President Bola Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda. He emphasized the necessity of God’s support for effective leadership, stating, “Nobody could govern without the backing of God.”

Continuing, Wike assured the Methodist Church of the FCT Administration’s consideration of their request for land. The proposed land allocation aims to facilitate the development of offices and a media center, enhancing evangelism and community services.

Most Rev. Oliver Aba elaborated on the purpose of the requested land, emphasizing its potential for fostering social amenities and furthering religious outreach. Despite a prior unsuccessful attempt in 2023, Aba remains hopeful for a positive outcome this time.

The collaborative efforts between religious institutions and government entities reflect a shared commitment to addressing societal needs and promoting stability amid challenges.
