Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Zulum at the weekend praised the efforts of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State to improve infrastructure and maintain peace for the development of the state.

“We came and we saw that Kwara is so peaceful. We have also seen some infrastructural development in the city (Ilorin). The peaceful nature of the city is most endearing to us,” Zulum said while speaking with newsmen before his departure at the Ilorin International Airport.

Governor Zulum was in Ilorin to attend the combined 8th and 9th convocation ceremony of Kwara State University Malete and conferment of honourary doctorate degree on the oil magnate Alhaji Muhammad Ndimi.

“For the executive governor of Kwara State, we remain eternally grateful to him. This is the second time we are coming to Kwara and we are overwhelmed with the reception accorded us,” Zulum said.

Governor Zulum also commended the management of Kwara State University for the remarkable achievements so far recorded in infrastructural and educational development.

“This morning (Saturday), we attended the Kwara State University convocation ceremony where one of our own illustrious sons was awarded honourary doctorate degree,” the Governor said.

“The University is a relatively new university but in terms of infrastructure, in terms of physical development and educational development, the university has gone far.”
