His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State today received in audience the Zonal executive of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the South South led by its chairman, Chief Dan Orbih.

The governor who hinted that PDP remains the best platform for the people of Nigeria, highlighted the success stories of his administration in the past one year.

“Mr. Chairman and Members of the South South Executives, your Government is doing so well in the face of dwindling resources and allocation in the state where the Federal Government take 100% of what we have and give us so called 13% and expect us to perform miracle.Every injustice to a people have a terminal date and I believe that one day this injustice will come to an end too.

Your Government has put in place major road infrastructural projects going on across the three senatorial districts. We have the road going to Southern Ijaw Local Government Area which is one of the major oil producing local government in Bayelsa and Nigeria that leads to the local government Headquarters at Oporoma.

Also, the Ekeremor/Sagbama road which has been on for years. As a Government we have resolved that the Ekeremor/
Sagbama road must get to Ekeremor, the Local Government headquarters under my watch.
The Next is the Nembe/Brass road which our government has started the process already by inviting the federal government and oil company(Agip) to explore the federal government Infrastructural Scheme for tax relief so that the State Government partnering with the oil company will commence the construction of that road as we have engaged all relevant federal government officials concerning that road.

There are rehabilitations of schools going on across the state and also building of new schools.”
