Former Kwara Deputy Governor Peter Kisira Passes Away at 74

Former Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Peter Kisira, has sadly passed away at the age of 74, as confirmed by the state government through a statement released by Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.

Kisira, who served as the deputy to the immediate past governor, Alhaji Abdulfattah Ahmed, from May 29, 2011, to May 29, 2019, reportedly passed away in the early hours of Saturday.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq expressed deep sorrow over the loss, offering heartfelt condolences to the people of Baruten and Kisira’s family. In his condolence message, Governor AbdulRazaq emphasized Kisira’s commendable public service and dedication to noble causes, noting his rise to the rank of permanent secretary in the state’s civil service.

The governor encouraged Kisira’s family to find solace in his enduring legacies, recognizing him as a public servant who made significant contributions to Kwara State.
