The historic Offa market known as ‘Owode’ was engulfed in flames during the early hours of April 2, 2024. A video shared by Ibitoye Shittu on his ‘x’ account captured the heartbreaking scene.

Expressing the gravity of the situation, Shittu lamented, “Sad morning in Offa, Kwara State as popular Owode market is currently on fire with millions of properties burnt. Fire service reportedly claimed they have no water.”
