The Federal Government of Nigeria, led by President Bola Tinubu, has reaffirmed its determination to eradicate banditry, terrorism, and related crimes across the nation.
Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, emphasized President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to tackling insurgency, kidnapping, and banditry promptly during an official visit to the 8th Division headquarters in Sokoto on Friday.
Badaru underscored, “Mr. President has tasked us with swiftly ending insurgency, terrorism, and banditry.”
Highlighting recent military achievements, he noted, “Our forces have successfully neutralized several terrorist leaders, and we’re actively pursuing the rest.”
Addressing troops at Giginya Barracks, Badaru lauded their dedication, assuring, “Your sacrifices are recognized, and the President is actively addressing your needs.”
He assured Governor Ahmed Aliyu of the Federal Government’s dedication to securing Sokoto, receiving assurances of full state support in combating terrorism and banditry.
In a resolute tone, Deputy Governor Muhammad Idris Gobir affirmed, “We will spare no expense to ensure Sokoto’s security.”
This commitment reflects a united front in Nigeria’s ongoing battle against insecurity, signaling a determined effort to make the nation safer for all.
