Rep. Tunji Olawuyi, member representing Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of kwara is set to distribute food items to the constituents as a palliative measure to cushion the effect of Kwara State Government’s stay at home order.

The intervention is coming against the backdrop of feedback from his three-day sensitisation and enlightenment intervention on the danger posed by Covid-19 in his constituency

Rep. Olawuyi disclosed this on Sunday while reacting to what he described a successful distribution of safety items to the people of his constituency.

He said the food items to be distributed this time would be sourced from the constituency as consultation and discussion were ongoing to chat a way to distribute the items.

“What we intend to do is to meet with the farmers from our constituency and ask them for their farm produce ready to be sold.

“What I’m saying here is that, we ask the association to get us farmers from Ekiti, Isin and other local governments and ask them what produce they have available.

” We will buy the produce from them and share to the people of the area there.

“I am sure we may not be able to reach everyone, just like we couldn’t reach everyone during the distribution of the safety items, but we will try our best within our capacity” Olawuyi said.

The Lawmaker thanked the people of the constituency for the show of love, adding that the feedback was overwhelming.

“I want to congratulate my team on the success recorded on our intervention to curb the spread of the Corona virus.

“The feedback is awesome, so many calls have received from notable constituents, even outside our constituency” Olawuyi said.
