Attorney-General Abubakar Malami has married Nana Hadiza, daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The marriage ceremony held at the Presidential Villa mosque on Friday and was attended by both families. Nana Hadiza, 41, married the attorney-general as his third wife.
It will be Hadiza’s second marriage as she was said to have been previously married with four children before leaving her husband some years ago.
Nana Hadiza attended First Essence International School, then Cobham Hall, Kent, United Kingdom. She also attended the University of Buckingham. She had previously obtained education at the National Teachers Institute, Kaduna; as well as a master’s degree in international affairs and strategic studies, at the Kaduna Polytechnic.
President Buhari has conducted five previous weddings for his children since he assumed office in 2015, including Zahra Buhari, Fatima Buhari, Yusuf Buhari, Hanan Buhari and Hadiza Buhari.
It remains unclear if the President graced the occasion before he departed for his hometown of Duara, Katsina State, for Eid-el- Kabir celebrations on Friday, July 8, 2022.
We reported that President Buhari’s plane touched down at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport in Katsina at 5.15 pm, and he was received by Governor Aminu Masari and other senior state government officials.
On arrival in Daura, the President was received by the Emir, Dr Faruk Umar Faruk, members of the Emirate Council and other district heads.
He is expected to return to Abuja July 14.
