Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated the three non-career ambassadorial nominees from the state, describing their appointments as another evidence of a new dawn in the state.

The nominees are former representative of Nigeria at the United Nations Office in Geneva Ibrahim Kayode Laaro; a foremost technocrat Abioye Bello; and a former Head of Service in Kwara State Hajia Zara Umar.

“The Governor congratulates all the three nominees for their pick which he believes speaks to their antecedents as illustrious professionals, thought leaders, and technocrats who have paid their dues in their respective fields and have served the state meritoriously at different times,” according to a statement by AbdulRazaq’s spokesman Rafiu Ajakaye.

“The Governor believes the nominees’ experience and goodwill and their new positions, when confirmed, would strengthen the aspirations of the people of Kwara State for better opportunities in various parts of the world. He commends Mr. President for once again proving his special love for the people of Kwara State through these appointments, and prays Almighty God to guide the nominees as they go through Senate screening and their assignments.”
