Governor Fintiri Flags Off Over N5bn Credit Guarantee Scheme

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has flagged off the N5bn credit guarantee scheme for agribusiness in the state.

The beneficiaries which include producers, agregators and marketers will access soft loans under the scheme.

Governor Umaru Fintiri while speaking in the Government House Yola said the scheme is one of the main components of the Adamawa Agribusiness Support ADAS Programme.

He explained that the scheme would help the beneficiaries to access loans from financial institutions.

Governor Fintiri appealed to people to continue to exercise patience over the hike in the price of food items.

He said his administration will continue to provide palliatives to the people to cushion the current hardships.

The Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Auwal Tukur said ADAS has generated over one billion naira from Agribusiness collections.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of loan letters to some of the beneficiaries of the scheme.

Among the dignitaries that attend the program are Commissioners, Chief of staff Government House Yola Dr Edgar Amos among others
