Yelwa Violence: Peace is our common heritage, nobody dilutes it and get away with – Gov. Bala

Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has called on residents of Yelwa community of Bauchi Local Government to live peacefully with one another saying that peace must be sustained.

Bala Mohammed was speaking today when he paid a sympathy to Yelwa where violence erupted following an alleged misunderstanding which according to Mohammed it was a handiwork of some hooligans who sabotage the state’s hard-earned peace.

Governor Bala while calling on security agencies in the state to ensure criminals and perpetrators are fished out, said no lives shall be sacrosanct and justice will be done.

He directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to take valuation of the loss adding that promoting peace, unity and tolerance is a collective responsibility of citizens of Bauchi State.

Governor Bala was accompanied by the Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt Honorable Abubakar Y. Suleiman and his deputy Danlami Kawule, Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command among other dignitaries.
