A non-political group, Southwest Watchers, on Sunday, congratulated Engr. Seyi Makinde on his 3rd term anniversary as the Executive Governor of Oyo State.

The group through its Secretary, Engr. Wale Adeoti, said Seyi Makinde’s purposeful governance has yielded brilliant results in the State, cutting across all strata of the economy and sectors of the State.

With its headquarters in Ikeja, Lagos state, the group said it is astonished by the Governor’s laudable policies, especially the recent conversion of over 700 civil servants in the State public service.

“You’ve redefined governance with your style, your headstrong approach in getting results is timely, and your people now nick-name you the talk-and-do Governor”, the group said.

The group equally pledged its support to the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Lanre Sarumi.

Earlier, Hon. Lanre Sarumi congratulated Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde on the Occasion of his 3rd Year Anniversary as Governor of Oyo State.

He said, “Today marks the 3rd year anniversary of our God Sent Man (GSM) assumes office, your reign as the helmsman of our dear state has brought many developmental Strides that has cut across all regions, you’re truly a blessing to the citizens of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.”

“Our pensioners now have peace of mind. They can afford to buy required medications on time and live much longer because you’ve prioritized their welfare”, he said.

He noted that despite the economic challenges, the Governor keeps surprising the citizens with the many infrastructural projects, adding that the State’s internally generated revenue has increased in the last three years more than the last decade combined.

“Your management of both human and material resources at your disposal has given our dear State a direction enviable among other States”.
