Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Tuesday alongside Ahijo Bamanga a former Federal Permanent Secretary performed the ceremony of commissioning ATV, GOTEL, AIT AND NYSC Camp badarisa road.

Alhaji Bamanga the guest of honour, applauded Gov. Fintiri for achieving such a huge road project—among many others—despite the country’s financial problems.

Bamanga commended Governor Fintiri for delivering projects with direct bearing on the people, and fulfilling his campaign promises

Speaking during the official commissioning event, Governor Fintiri said that the Damare Badarisa road project will advance the socio-economic growth of the state and play a crucial part in building a new Adamawa State.

Fintiri noted that his administration would not relent in the State’s pro ess and would continue to do what is expected of his administration by ensuring the growth and development of the state.

“When we launched the urban renewal campaign 2020 we were clear on what we wanted to archive with the campaign the vision is to reinvent an Adamawa state with a mega capital city with all the municipal trappings that can open up the state to investors and deliberately produce semi-urban centres that would serve an excellent cosmopolitan withholding hub for the containment of rural-urban drift.

Three years down the lane am happy to note that this vision is fast becoming a reality, we are gradually building a state where citizens’ choice of place of settlement is decided not by the availability of municipal infrastructure but by the choice of other determinants.”

Among the dignitaries that attended the Commissioning was Speaker House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, Members of the House of Assembly, Commissioners, Advisers, SSG Mallam Bashir Ahmad, VC Mau Yola professor Liman Tukur among others.

Highlights of the event were traditional dance music interludes by groups including Youth Corps Members newly posted to the State.
