Unilorin accident: Saraki sympathizes with victims, seeks improved road regulations

The President of the 8th Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has expressed sadness over the fatal accident which claimed the life of one person and left others injured at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.

He urged the school management to again review the traffic regulations on the campus to further improve safe driving in the institution.

This was contained in a press release signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, and issued to newsmen on Saturday.

The statement read, “It saddens my heart to hear about the fatal accident at the University of Ilorin, on Thursday.

“I sympathize with the family of the student who died in the accident and pray God to grant them fortitude to bear the loss. I also wish the injured speedy recovery.

“It is my hope that the institution will again look into traffic regulations within the campus, enforce it further and explore other means to make transportation safer.”
