Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Diri stated that the States and the Federal Government need each other for partnernership to solve a lot of the development issues confronting the people.

The Governor also expressed his happiness to President Buhari for the collaborative effort that has led to the conception and inauguration of the projects.

“There is no level of government that is standing all alone, the federal government needs the state government, as much as the state government needs the federal government. So, when we collaborate, we are going to solve a lot of the sustainable development goals that are fast approaching.

This facility will be very beneficial to us as a people. In fact, for me, this is one of the best things that has happened to us as a State. And as Oliver Twist, Your Excellency, we will still collaborate more.

Our women and children now have a place where they will have a safe delivery, they will be safe with their children. They will no longer patronize traditional practices but modern healthcare. I have been inside the facility and it is equipped with the state-of-the-art facility anywhere you can find in the world.

Others in attendance were, Her Excellency, Dr. Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Senior Special Assistant to the president on SDGs, the Leader of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Edwin Bubou Obolo, other members of the State House of Assembly, Commissioners, and top government functionaries.
