- charges members to work for party’s success
Former Senate President and national leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has charged members of the party in Kwara State to work towards the success of the party.
Saraki said this on Wednesday in Ilorin, the State capital, when he held a robust stakeholders’ engagement session with party faithful drawn across the 16 local government areas of the State, according to a statement by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir.
The statement noted that the engagement session, which is an ongoing periodic exercise was very productive as it addressed various areas of concerns and provided insight into details that will further enhance the development of the PDP in Kwara.
The ex-Senate President commended the PDP members for remaining loyal to the party despite the challenges confronting it.
He, however, encouraged them to go back to their respective wards and local government areas to make concerted efforts aimed at strengthening the party and ensuring its success.
The meeting was well attended by party stalwarts, wards, LGAs, State excos, representatives of youth and women groups. The session also featured deliberations on the forthcoming congresses of the party.
