Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, has congratulated Muslim faithful in Kwara and around the globe on the commencement of this year’s Ramadan fasting.
A statement signed by the former lawmaker’s media aide, Abdulqadir Abdulganiyy, urged them to take maximum advantage of the holy month to increase their acts of worship to move closer to Almighty Allah.
The lawmaker prayed Almighty Allah (SWT) to accept all acts of worship and supplications offered during the holy month.
“May Allah accept our worship, our fasting, our standing, our bowing and our prostration in this month of Ramadan and beyond,” he said.
He also urged Muslims in particular and Nigerians in general to intensify prayers for the nation and its leadership, to overcome the numerous challenges facing the country including the dreaded Coronavirus, which he said, has impacted negatively on not only Nigeria but the world at large.
Senator Rafiu also advised Nigerians to continue to comply with the stay-at-home directive of the government and observed all precautionary measures as enjoined by concerned authorities.
