Prince Adekunle Oyedepo Resigns from PDP

In a surprise move, the founder of The Adekunle Oyedepo Foundation, Prince Adekunle Oyedepo has formally announced his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). His decision was communicated through a letter addressed to Hon. Segun Abegunde, the Ward Chairman of Ifaja Ward in Irepodun local government area of Kwara State.

Citing a desire to focus on personal development, Oyedepo expressed that this decision came after significant contemplation. “After considerable reflection, I have decided to step away from my political affiliations to dedicate more time to my personal development,” Oyedepo stated.

He emphasized that the choice was not made lightly, recognizing the rewarding and educational experiences he had while being part of the PDP.

In his resignation letter, Oyedepo reassured that his exit from political activities does not equate to a withdrawal from community service. He reiterated his enduring commitment to humanitarian work, highlighting his passion for making a positive impact on people’s lives through various charitable and community-based initiatives.

Oyedepo extended his gratitude to his colleagues in the PDP, appreciating the support and camaraderie he enjoyed during his membership of the party. “I deeply appreciate the support and camaraderie I have enjoyed during my tenure and wish the party continued success in all its endeavors,” he wrote.
