President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority. The announcement, made through Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, underscores the administration’s commitment to effective water resource management.
Engr. Woke, a seasoned engineer and seasoned politician, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His past positions include Chairmanship of Emohua local government area in Rivers State and Chief of Staff at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
“The President expects the new Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority to discharge his duties with integrity and in conformity with the highest standards of transparency,” stated Chief Ngelale. The appointment aligns with the administration’s vision for harnessing and developing the water resource potential of the area. The Authority is poised to become a catalyst for holistic and integrated industrial, agricultural, and community development initiatives.
