Governor of the State of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola has commiserated with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, on the death of his grandmother, Madam Comfort Faramobi Ajoke Olasoji Soji-Opa, popularly known as Mama Agba.
In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Ismail Omipidan, Governor Oyetola also commiserated with the family and the entire people of Ile-Ife.
He implored the Ooni and the entire family to take solace in the fact that their mother, grandmother and great grandmother died at the ripe age of 103, noting that the deceased during her lifetime, made positive contributions to the development of the society.
“On behalf of my family, the people and government of the State of Osun, I commiserate with and share this moment of grief with His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi on the death of his grandmother, Madam Comfort Faramobi Ajoke Olasoji Soji-Opa. I also condole with members of Opa’ Compound (Ile Opa) and the Ajigbayin Compound of Ile-Ife over this loss.
“Mama Agba was an industrious and upright woman during her lifetime and we take solace in the fact that God blessed her with long life, which she spent serving her creator and humanity. She would be greatly remembered for her remarkable legacies”, he added.
The Governor wished the deceased a peaceful repose of her soul and prayed God to grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
“My prayer is that God in His infinite mercies will grant the entire family the grace to continue to uphold the virtues of selflessness and Godliness, which late Madam Comfort Faramobi Ajoke Olasoji Soji-Opa symbolised.”
Late Madam Comfort is survived by Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
