Governor Samuel Ortom has restated the resolve of his administration to continue to provide a friendly environment for private investments to thrive in the state.
Governor Ortom stated this today when he received the Human Resource Manager Pure Bio Tech Company Limited, Mr Stephen Numbeve who led other officials on a courtesy call on him at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi.
He said the state was blessed with abundant natural resources and called on individual investors to take advantage of such materials so as to add value to the development of the state economy.
Governor Ortom hinted the intention of Operation Whirl Stroke to establish a Military unit at Abua along Gboko road where the Pure Bio Tech Company Limited is located shortly after the assassination attempt on him as part of measures to check insecurity there.
He told officials of the Bio Tech Company Limited that his administration is anchored on the rule of law and would want them to adhere strictly to due process in all their dealings to avoid mistakes.
Earlier, the Resource Manager Pure Bio Tech Company Limited, Mr Numbeve had told the Governor that the project hopes to benefit the state in various ways such as curb wastage of cassava products, boost production and in return reduce unemployment.
Mr Numbeve who stated that without government support in critical areas such as security and enabling environment it would be difficult for the company to thrive, solicited guaranteed security to be able to carry out smooth operations.
Governor Ortom also received on a courtesy call, the Superintendent, Assemblies of God Church, Reverend Paul Emeka where he again called on the Federal Governent to Black list and proscribe herdsmen terrorists that have taken responsibility for killings in Benue and other parts of the country, same way it did to IPOB, pledging to continue to speak the truth.
The Superintendent Assemblies of God, Reverend Emeka who said he was in the state on a routine check of the church’s activities, acknowledged the Ortom administration for doggedly standing up for the people – a move he said had generated accolades from within and outside the country for prosperity.
