Ondo 2020: Governor Akeredolu performs presentation of 30 ‘Ibi Giga’ Ambassadors’ vehicles to coordinators

Ahead of the October 10, 2020 Governorship election in Ondo State, Thirty campaign vehicles meant for the re-election bid of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN have been presented to the Constituency Coordinators of the Ibi Giga Ambassadors.

Ibi Giga Ambassadors is one of the leading support groups rooting for the second term aspiration of Governor Akeredolu.

The vehicles, which were procured by the convener of the group, Chief Alex Ajipe, were presented to the coordinator by Governor Akeredolu at an event, held at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park, Igbatoro Road, Akure, the state capital, on Friday.

Governor Akeredolu was accompanied to the event by some of the members of the state Executive Council, led by the Chief of Staff, Chief Gbenga Ale. Also present was the son of the second republic governor of old Ondo State, Mr. Tokunbo Ajasin and several other notable leaders.

Speaking at the event, Governor Akeredolu expressed immense appreciation to the group for the job done so far, while noting that he was overwhelmed with support and the show of solidarity by the people.

He said: “How many aspirants have this kind of support? What you are doing for me, I remember my other campaigns, I bought vehicles, but I didn’t do this much. How many other aspirants can have this kind of support? I am appreciative and I’m here today to show it.”

Arakunrin Akeredolu thanked members of the group for accepting to work with him, stressing that the journey to the second term of his administration is a very important one for the progress of the state.

The Governor continued: “You have your members in the 203 wards which are also party officers and if we do indirect primary today, then we are sure of victory by the Grace of God. I want to thank. The form that was obtained in Abuja yesterday, Ibi Giga Ambassadors contributed to the money. I want to thank Ibi Giga Ambassadors for this. I’m really speechless. ”

He charged the members of the group to make judicious use of the vehicles.

Speaking earlier, the convener of the group, Ajipe said the numerous achievements of the Governor necessitated the need to work for his reelection bid so that the good work can continue unhindered.

Ajipe assured the Governor that the group, which tranversed the length and breath of the state, will work for the Governor to emerge victorious at both the primary and the Governorship elections.
