The Management team of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) led by the Director General, Engr. Aliyu Aziz Abubakar today paid a working visit to formally appreciate the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), PhD for the active and visionary leadership he has provided for the commission since its transfer to the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
The Management also extended their warm appreciation to His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari for approving a New Condition of Service and New Salary Scale for the Commission following the Memo presented by Dr Pantami.
In his brief response, Minister Pantami urged the management to repay the goodwill of Mr President by enhancing effectiveness, efficiency and productivity. The Minister also called on them to uphold ethical practices and shun all forms of negative vices such as corruption, bribery, extortion, among others.
Pantami stated that Mr President is so passionate about National Identity for all Nigerians and Legal Residents, stressing that the importance of National ID cannot be overemphasized as it is key to effective planning, enhanced security, among others.
The Minister stated that he derives pleasure in doing the right thing and making his subordinates comfortable in the work environment.
