A former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has said that some leaders in the country are hiding the painful truth about the worsening state of security in the country from President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sani, who was granted bail recently after spending four weeks in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for alleged extortion and bribery, tweeted that though such leaders have access to the president they failed to tell him the truth about the security situation of the land.
“We shouldn’t all blame the President for the escalation of banditry and kidnappings because the leaders privileged to meet him were afraid of telling him the truth that hurts and preferred to say Ranka ya dade muna godiya da kokarin da kake yi,wallahi komai dai dai ne,ba matsala,” Sani wrote on Twitter.
