Kwara Governor Applauds Onikijipa’s Appointment as New TUC Chair, Foresees Strong Partnership

Kwara State Governor AbdulRazaq Rahman expressed delight at the appointment of Alhaji Abdulrahman Olayinka Onikijipa as the new Trade Union Congress (TUC) chairman during the recent Triennial Conference in Ilorin. Governor Rahman hailed Onikijipa’s selection, emphasizing a positive collaboration with the new TUC leader and his team.

This was contained in statement released by Rafiu Ajakaye, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, “Alhaji Onikijipa’s exemplary track record, notably his outstanding performance at RTEAN, signals a promising era for the TUC in our state,” Governor Rahman remarked. He also praised outgoing TUC Chairman Comrade Tunde Joseph for his dedication and constructive leadership, particularly his commitment to constructive dialogues and governmental partnerships.

Governor Rahman extended heartfelt prayers for Onikijipa and his team, invoking divine guidance as they undertake the responsibility of enhancing workers’ welfare and contributing to national development, core responsibilities within the leadership of the labor union.
