All the ward chairmen, women leaders, youth leaders, and members of the executives of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) across the 52 wards of Kwara Central have on Tuesday night declared their total support for the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Saturday’s gubernatorial election, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi.
Led by their co-ordinator, Mr. Lookman Maja, the YPP leaders affirmed their readiness to work with the PDP, to elect a people-oriented government under Alhaji Abdullahi.
The group said Kwarans cannot afford to continue with Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of the APC, who has failed in all ramifications and has put the state in reverse gear.
They also promised to mobilize all their supporters across Ilorin South, Ilorin West, Ilorin East, and Asa LGAs to vote for the PDP Governorship and House of Assembly candidates in the March 18 elections.
Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki while receiving the YPP leaders in Ilorin appreciated their boldness to work for PDP in the Governorship election in the interest of the people of Kwara and the generation unborn.
Saraki, according to his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, assured the leadership of the YPP in Kwara Central of good working relationships in the interest of the state.
