Ile-Arugbo: Saraki Feeds Widows, Less Privileged in Ilorin

In what has become a family tradition, the former President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has commenced the distribution of cash and food items to the aged women and the Baba Saraki Alasalatu group in Ilorin.

The gesture, according to the Coordinator of the Saraki Ile-Arugbo Welfare Home, Hajia Afusat Abubakar, is to lessen the economic hardship on the people, especially the aged women with cash and various food items in the community.

This practice is an aged long one that started in the days of the former Senate Leader, Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki to carter for the welfare of the less privileged women, needy and widows.

The distribution exercise which began on Friday at Ilofa Road, Baba Saraki’s GRA residence, Ilorin is a weekly event and was well received by the beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries who were full of gratitude to their benefactor, the Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, prayed to God Almighty to reward him abundantly for his kind gesture.
