Governor Fintiri Flags Off Distribution Of 60,000 Bags of Rice

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Friday flagged off the distribution of 60,000 bags of rice 25kg to vulnerable households in Adamawa.

It was part of measures to cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal on the people in the state.

Speaking at Karewa in Yola North Local Government Area before flagging off the food item, Governor Fintiri said the rice would be distracted free of charge.

He added that the committee members and elites are not part of the template adding more food items would be procured and distributed to people.

He called on people in flood-prone areas in the state to relocate to safer areas to avert the impending flood disaster.

The Governor restated the ban on cutting down trees in the state and urged people to safeguard the environment.

Among the dignitaries attending the program is the Secretary to the State Government Who doubles as chairman of the committee Hon. Auwal D.Tukur, the Chief of Staff Government House Dr Edgar Amos, the Speaker of the Adamawa House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, Members House of Assembly, Commissioners among others.
