Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State Monday declared open 13th Quarterly Northeast Conference of Directors of State Security Services.
The conference is held in Yola, the Adamawa State Capital.
Speaking at the event, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri commended the DSS for holding the conference in Yola.
The Governor reassured the commitment of northeast governors to collaborate with the DSS to maintain security in the region.
In his welcome address, the State Director of DSS, Hassan Adeleke said the retreat is put in place to deliberate on the general security situation in the zone.
The opening ceremony was attended by service commanders in the state, representatives of Lamido Adamawa and top government officials.
