Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has commiserated with Gurin Community over recent boat mishap that kills many lives.
The Governor therefore directed enforcement of regulations on operations of inland waterways commercial transportation.
At the palace of the District Head of Gurin, Governor Umaru Fintiri called on traditional institution to support the Government policy.
The Governor said the government would purchase live jackets for boat passengers to reduce lost of lives.
Responding, the District Head of Gurin, Alhaji Abubakar Baba thanked Governor Fintiri for the visit and promised support of government.
The accident which happened at Kwatan Mallam Adamu in the Gurin village on Monday and has killed two lives, 12 were rescued while many others are still missing.
