Governor Fintiri Asks UN To Build Decent Houses For IDPs

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Tuesday received Mr Williams Chemale, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Solutions to Internal Displacement.

Speaking in the Government House, Yola Governor Fintiri asked for more support in the area of housing for internally displaced Persons (IDPs) in Adamawa.

He lamented about some houses built by the UN agency for IDPs in the state and asked for quality shelter for the displaced people.

Earlier in his remarks, the UN Adviser, Mr Williams Chemale said they were in the state to provide humanitarian assistance to IDPs.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor, Prof Kaletapwa Farauta and Chief of Staff, Doctor Edgar Amos Sunday.
