The Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello, CON, has imparted a significant piece of advice to the Omo-odo community in Kabba/Bunu local government council, emphasizing the importance of unity for the continuous peace and development of Okunland and the state as a whole.
Governor Bello shared this advice during a warm reception at the Government House in Lokoja on Tuesday. The delegation, led by the former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole, represented the people of Omo-odo.
The Governor reiterated that unity and peace were fundamental elements in fostering positive development, highlighting that it was essential for all of Okunland to stand united to fully enjoy the benefits of good governance.
In this light, Governor Bello encouraged the people to rally their support for the APC and its gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo, in anticipation of victory on November 11.
Prince Kolawole, expressing that this visit marked a unique occasion, conveyed their heartfelt appreciation to Governor Bello for his substantial contributions to the Omo-Odo community. He acknowledged the resolute commitment of the people to work for the APC and engage with various socio-cultural groups to bolster support for the party.
The President General of Omo-Odo Worldwide, Mr. Emmanuel Osatuyi, highlighted the recognition and benefits the Bello-led administration had brought to the community. This included the elevation of four traditional rulers to 2nd class status and the establishment of Kogi State University, KSU, Kabba. Osatuyi also applauded the Governor for the reconstruction of Kabba township roads.
