The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Kwara State Campaign Council wishes to condemn recent acts of desperation and attempts at stoking up violence by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
Threatened by the growing popularity and acceptance of our gubernatorial candidate, Alh. Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi particularly after the recent tour across Kwara North, the APC in an act of desperation began to procure O SU WA caps at the rate of #5,000 each to burn it as a form of psychological warfare to turn the heart of the people against the love being shown to the PDP and its candidates.
We are also aware of plans to assemble Emirs and Traditional Rulers from the North to Kwara Central on Friday under the pretense of a meeting which will eventually be termed as an endorsement ceremony against the wish of these traditional rulers.
In another act of desperation that shows flagrant violation for electoral fairness and attempts to provoke the opposition, the APC has resorted to defacing the posters of our gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman with “Oro Yamayama” posters.
Asides the shameful display of disrespect to the will of the people, it is also unfortunate that resources of the state is being wasted on such petty acts.
Unfortunately for Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and his lackeys, these desperate actions only prove that they are upset by the growing popularity of the Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman and other PDP candidates in the state.
Conclusively, we caution Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq against desperate attempts to sabotage the will of the people and advise him to just resign to fate that he has been rejected by Kwarans.
