Bayelsa State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri, has declared open a two-day in-house training for Permanent Secretaries in the State Civil Service.
The training with the theme: Upholding best practices in the civil service is organized by the office of the Head of Service.
Gov. Diri, emphasised that the civil service remained the engine room of government and called for harmonious working relationship with the political class.
“And the engine room must be motivated and it is more through training and retraining. Learning continues and we must encourage the best way for civil service to operate by upholding the best practice.”
The governor who assured senior officers in the service of good welfare, urged them to key into the prosperity agenda by embracing agriculture.
