In the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir celebration, President of the 8th Senate, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki and his wife, Barrister Toyin Ojora, on Saturday, hosted PDP leaders, supporters, women and youth groups to a lunch at their Ilorin residence.

The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate who had earlier joined other Muslim faithful to observe the two-rakat prayer at the Ilorin Eid praying ground, thanked Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness this year’s festival while also wishing the people peaceful and joyous celebrations.

Saraki also appreciated Kwarans for the overwhelming show of love and support to him, as he was, after the prayers, cheered by hundreds of Muslim faithful who attended the Eid prayer while some of them walked home with him.

Speaking on political happenings in the State, the PDP national leader said it is unfortunate that the current All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration had failed people of Kwara and deserved to be booted out come 2023.

He therefore urged people of the State to be prepared to vote out the APC government for its poor performance and misrule.

Saraki also charged members of the Kwara PDP to forget their differences and forge ahead in the interest of the party, saying “the 2023 election is a must win to safe the soul of Kwara.”
