Air Peace, one of Nigeria’s leading airlines, has officially commenced its highly anticipated Lagos-London flight services, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy. The inaugural flight took off on Saturday, fulfilling the airline’s earlier announcement of direct flight operations to London, which was made during a prelaunch forum in February.
Allen Onyema, Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, had previously revealed the airline’s successful acquisition of the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit in November. These permits enable Air Peace to operate flights to Europe and the United Kingdom, setting the stage for its venture into international routes.
Announcing the commencement of the Lagos-London service, Air Peace expressed its delight and gratitude to everyone involved in achieving this milestone. The airline’s official statement on its social media platform, Air Peace X, conveyed the excitement surrounding the launch and the commitment to providing seamless connectivity across cities.
The inaugural flight to London was graced by dignitaries, including the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anita, among other notable personalities. Their presence underscored the significance of Air Peace’s expansion efforts and the positive impact on Nigeria’s aviation sector.
With the launch of the Lagos-London flight service, Air Peace has expanded its reach and reinforced its position as a major player in the regional aviation market, offering passengers convenient and reliable travel options between Nigeria and the United Kingdom
