Alhaji Garba Badamasi, the village head of Riruwai in Bauchi State, was reportedly murdered after being abducted by unknown gunmen. The tragic incident has left the community in mourning and raised concerns about security in the region.
According to reports, Badamasi was abducted from his home in Lame District, Bauchi Emirate, by armed assailants on Friday, March 15, 2024. Sources close to the situation revealed that the gunmen targeted the late traditional ruler and swiftly took him from his palace.
An unnamed source stated, “The gunmen went straight into the palace of the late traditional ruler from where they kidnapped him.” Badamasi was held captive for a day before his lifeless body was discovered, adding to the distress and sorrow felt by the community.
