A group named Kwara Emerging Leaders, KEL, which was formed by young accomplished Kwaran professionals who are deeply passionate about politics, public service, policy and governance, will be unveiled on Tuesday, 29 December, 2020.
The group’s Head of Media Relations, Adekunle Oyedepo who announced this in a statement on Sunday, said the unveiling would be done at the maiden Press Conference of the body which will hold at the NUJ Secretariat Conference Hall, Ilorin.
The statement disclosed that the Kwara Emerging Leaders was formed with the objective to evaluate and make inputs in government policies in order to enrich public governance as well as build leadership capacity amongst the youths.
It added that the group’s priorities would focus on mobilizing and leading the youth of the State towards greater political participation and inclusion.
The statement quoted the Convener of KEL, Seun Awogbenle as saying that “the key thing we would seek to do is Mobilisation, and we have already began the task of mobilising young Kwarans to form a strong political force that can demand and support candidates who have the capacity, character and competence to lead the way to the glorious future we envisage for ourselves and the generations to come.”
