Engr Kawu Welcomes Senator Saliu Mustapha to PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate in Kwara State, Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu, Dan Iya of Ilorin, has warmly welcomed Senator Saliu Mustapha, the Turaki of Ilorin and serving Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District, to the Peoples Democratic Party.

In a statement he personally signed, Engr. Kawu congratulated Senator Mustapha on his emergence as the PDP senatorial candidate for Kwara Central, describing him as a seasoned political figure whose experience, grassroots connection and understanding of the state’s political landscape would add considerable strength to the party.

Engr. Kawu stated that Senator Mustapha’s decision to join the PDP goes beyond a political realignment, describing it as an indication of the growing desire among stakeholders for a broader and more inclusive political platform capable of bringing people together around the common interest of Kwara State.

He said the senator’s experience in the National Assembly and his years of engagement with the people of Kwara Central would be valuable to the PDP as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.

“I warmly welcome Senator Saliu Mustapha to our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party. His decision to join us and his emergence as our senatorial candidate for Kwara Central further strengthens our collective resolve to build a political movement that puts the people first.
