Zulum, while warning contractors to ensure specified standards, gives six months to complete the project.

The governor stated that his administration has approved two eye and dental hospitals to be situated in southern and northern Borno to complement the one in Maiduguri.

“in fulfilment of our electioneering campaign promise to construct eye and dental hospitals in southern and northern Borno to complement the existing dental and eye hospital in Borno Central, we are here to flag off the construction of new dental and eye hospitaltal in Biu,” Zulum said.

He added, “I want to direct the contractors to complete this project in six months while ensuring all the required specifications are observed.”

He empathised that the government aims to ensure affordable healthcare service delivery to the people of the state.

Meanwhile, Zulum also announced the approval of funds to upgrade Biu General Hospital to a specialist status.
