Zulum launches Senator Monguno’s 110 mini pick-up truck to constituents

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has launched over 110 mini-pick-up trucks empowerment package provided by the senator representing Borno North, Barrister Mohammed Tahir Monguno, to his constituents.

The Launching ceremony was conducted on Sunday at the Government House, Maiduguri.

Zulum commended the giant effort of the senator aimed at alleviating poverty and creating sources of livelihood for the people of Borno North senatorial district.

“I want to commend you, Senator MT Monguno, for the people-oriented projects for people of your constituency. Since you were a member of the House of Representatives, MT Monguno you’ve impacted positively on the lives of your people.”

“Let me use this opportunity to call upon other lawmakers to emulate MT Monguno’s good gestures as it will serve as palliatives directly or indirectly to his constituents,” Zulum said.

In his remarks, the senator assured of his commitment to continue to give his maximum support in alleviating the economic challenges faced by his people as peace has significantly returned.

He commended Governor Zulum and the security forces for their tireless efforts in restoring peace which led to the resettlement of most IDPs from his Senatorial District to their ancestral homes with dignity.

Senator Monguno added that since May 2023, over N400m has been distributed to 9,108 constituents that benefited from the skill acquisition programmes and other empowerment schemes.

Earlier in their separate goodwill messages, Deputy National Chairman (North) of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, Chairman of APC Borno State, Hon. Bello Ayuba and the Speaker of Borno State House of Assembly, Abdulkarim Lawan, applauded Senator MT Monguno‘s efforts in alleviating the suffering of his constituents.
