- says it’s built on propaganda
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 general elections and Danmasani Shonga, Alh. Shuaib Yaman has described the administration of Gov. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as a monumental failure and a disaster for the state.
Reacting to insinuation making the rounds that he “extols Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to building a better, prosperous Kwara”, Yaman challenged the governor to tell Kwarans what he has done with the over N600b that had accrued to the state in the last five years that could attract commendation from any right thinking stakeholder in the state.
“Abdulrahman who is currently entangled in the mesh he created through his handling of the Tunde Idiagbon flyover in Tanke, is merely trying to divert attention from issues of probity and accountability and possibly looking for an undeserved legitimacy “, Yaman alleged.
In a release issued and signed in Ilorin on Monday by his former director, Media and Strategy, Wahab Oba, Alh Yaman asked the governor and his media gang to engage with kwarans on the alleged ongoing lootings at the Kwara Hotel, the Light-Up Kwara streets, the Diagnostic Centre, Kwara Express, among others.
“Today”, Yaman said, “after three years, no one knows what has happened to the so-called Garments Factory with a cost of N2.25 billion “.
According to Yaman, AbdulRahman’s administration remains the worst since the creation of the state 56 years ago.
“For the avoidance of doubt, I never extolled, commended nor endorsed AbdulRahmsn during his unscheduled visit to my house in Shonga. Rather, I challenged him to tell the truth to Kwara about the Tunde Idiagbon flyover, among other issues”, Yaman said.
