We’ll Ensure Every Child In Bauchi Has Access To Education – Gov. Bala

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed said his administration is deeply concerned with the state of education and is always proactive in taking measures to address lapses in the sector.

He was speaking while launching of the #BauchiBack2SchoolCampaign and the inauguration of the Bauchi State Education Steering Committee 2023 at Banquet Hall, Bauchi Government House.

Governor Bala who was delighted to perform the function he described paramount, said it is his moral and constitutional duty to ensure every child in the state has access to education, reiterating his administration’s commitment to ensuring judicious utilization of available resources towards the implementation of educational policies that will foster gender inclusion, promote equity, deliver quality and guarantee safe and violent-free schooling for Bauchi children.

As part of his effort to improve the working condition and welfare of teachers in the state, Governor Bala said he has since approved the promotion of all class teachers in addition to the renovation and reconstruction of thousands of classroom blocks, payment of examination fees among others.

He expressed his sincere gratitude to the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), for their partnership and support in the revival and uplifting the education in Bauchi state.

He further commended the FCDO, USAID, the World Bank, UNESCO and the European Union for the role they have been playing in the regard.

Governor Bala added that the establishment of the State Education Steering Committee to be chaired by the Emir of Bauchi, His Royal Highness (Dr) Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu, is a testimony of his unwavering commitment to providing quality education to every child.
