Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has extended his warmest felicitations to the Muslim Ummah as faithful in the State join their counterparts across the globe to celebrate this years Eid-el-Kabir.
Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri while congratulating Muslims on the occasion called on them to rededicate themselves to making the State a model of peace and harmonious living.
Governor Fintiri said peace and harmony were necessary in order for residents to continue to enjoy the blessings of Allah which, according to him, continue to abound in our communities.
The Governor, who said the period offered the people another opportunity to submit completely to the will of the Almighty Allah, declared, that the occasion is an opportunity to renew interaction with fellow human beings and most essentially our duties to Allah, and urged the people to reflect more on the reason for man’s creation and make moves to be closer to Allah.
“As Muslims savour the joy of the occasion across the globe, I urge you to demonstrate the spirit of tolerance, unity, love, forgiveness, compassion and peace that Islam epitomises.”
While wishing all Muslims in the State and across the world, a very exciting celebration during this occasion of piety and sacrifice, Governor Fintiri further noted that “Allah implore us all as leaders and followers in our different stations in life to continue to hold on steadfastly to the tenets of hope, sacrifice and restoration as epitomised in the central message of Eid-el-Kabir.”
